Human resource management is a tool in an organization, which focuses on the recruitment, management, and giving direction to the people who work in the organization. Human resource management is a vital component, which deals with issues concerned with people. Such issues include, hiring, performance management, developmental issues, safety, staff welfare, benefits and staff motivation. An organization cannot create a group of professional working staff without better human resources (Stewart, Brown, 2012, 65). The human resource management has a wide variety of functions in an organization. The first function is to recruit and train new staff members. An organization needs to update its staff members after a series of time to enhance better performance. The human resource management department owns the responsibility of coming up with strategies and plans on how to recruit new staff members. They identify the best criteria to be used during recruitment and design questions to be u sed during interviews. Human resource management department sets up the responsibilities for individuals to be recruited.
